Aria 9271 from Matsumoku - Jumbo made in Japan - 1970s (pre-owned)

Here's a Aria 9271 from the 1970s, a rare jumbo acoustic guitar made in Japan by the Matsumoku factory, famous for the quality of its instruments.

Inspired by the Guild F-50R model, it is one of the famous “lawsuit era” guitars that sought to rival American production, with impressive attention to luthiery. This model is distinguished by its natural finish (less common than sunburst), spruce top, three-piece back and mahogany sides, and a rosewood fingerboard adorned with trapezoid inlays typical of the Guild style.

The sound is full, warm and balanced, with good projection. Slight signs of use, but no cracks or structural weaknesses. Fully serviced, straight neck, comfortable action: it's ready to play.
